Most people use Microsoft Windows. The problems on the right are some of the most common problems people experience. Since some of these problems are as result of either one of the problemss listed under "TECH SUPPORT" or as result of a combination of some of those listed. Some problems might seems that it is related to for example software might in fact be as result of hardware problems.

Thus the problems listed on the right is to provide you with a guide relating to some problems you might be experiencing and if so will allow you to establish who you should consult. This is important since given the economy many are duping clients into what they they do not need such as new hardware and may or may not fix the actual unrelated cause.

Of course the intent is assist my clients online, but sometimes issues can only be resolved locally and as such I can only assist clients in my area (meaning where I am located and the radius thereof). However, since ethical conduct is primary in terms of the services I provide, this guide will help those who are located perhaps even in another province and this will help you to understand what to look out for and avoid being duped.

Many times you will be asked what Operating System and Browser you are using. This is helpful when talking with someone on chat or on the phone and though you can easily be guided for IT to get this information. This saves a lot of time. COMMON ISSUES

Slow speed

When you notice your computer is extremely slow, yet previously your computer ran smoothly. There are various reasons this can be the case. Most of the time it is related to malicious sotware that infected your system.

In this situation your computer might run fine for a bit and the suddenly it will be slowly. The light on next to or in some cases the same light indicating your computer is on will change for intermitted flashing to rapidly doing so or may be constant.

It is recommended not to use your computer since it might harm your CPU

Glitches

Glitches are problems that range from disconnects from the internet, connectivity failures relating to printing where the system give an error state devices not found to errors. Other connected hardware such as your mouse working and then not.

Software applications that simply freezes or closes unexpectedly. Software not starting.

These errors can annoying and may result in a system that is not reliable and can result in the loss of work done but not saved.

Disconnects

When using the internet your internet contantly disconnects whereas before it did not disconnect. The is often related to software, hardware or drivers.

Drivers are used by windows that allows interaction with the connected device.

Disconnects may be a result of various other factor's also such as distance when on Wireless or even the quality of the signal and other related factors such as interference, meaning external matters.

Overheating

Overheating can resemble slowness but what will happen most of the time your computer will start normally but soon your computer gets slower and finally it will freeze, restart or shutdown. If this happens it could be that your cooling system such as the fan cooling the CPU is no longer working.

In cases like this you do not continue to use your computer as it may damage your CPU or completely burn out your CPU and this can be costly.

There might be some overlap with other mentioned problems but one thing you will realize above all else is that the case (when PC) or the the bottom (when Laptop) will be extremely hot. DO NOT switch on you computer again if this happens.

Blue Screen (of death) [BSOD]

If you are busy and all of a sudden you get blue screen which may or may not restart your device. This could be driver related, hardware related or you may have some kind of infection on your your system

It may also be as result of corrupt files relating to your operating system system.

Disc Space

Another common issue is when you try to save but Windows says you do not have sufficient space. While it is possible that you have run out of space on your system it may also be the case that you have sufficient space but get the same message. You may get this message when you try to install software but get this message stating you insufficient space.

There are many reasons you may run out of disk space, some as result from malicious apps to reasons that are valid but as with many computer issues this subjective

Infected Software

Although this relates more to the Cybersecurity page, it is worthwhile to mention it here. Sometimes when people install software legally and ethically they will look for free software that can do whatsoever they need.

While there are valid sites to download great software from, there are sites that may list known freeware but these are often infected. Installing these may result in far more than mere malware but the kind that may result in massive financial loss.
